Pressing is the most important part of sewing, especially when you want to achieve professional results.  The bottom line is steam and a few pressing tools.  Here are a few key tools to the trade:  (many are available on our website)

• Quality Iron with steam.  Make sure the iron does not spit water droplets!
• Clapper

• Angela's Collar Press

• Tailor's Seam Roll - for pressing seams, sleeves, anything with a narrow opening.

• Tailor's Ham - for pressing curved seams such as princess seam, pocket edge, darts, sleeve cap, etc.

• Sleeve Board - used for pressing sleeves, seams open, narrow openings, etc.

• Press Cloth - Use a light-weight fabric to protect what you are working on.  I usually use cotton, silk, silk organza, or muslin.
• Tailor's Sponge
