1601 – Style Star

Learn the steps to becoming a style star by recognizing trends that are spot on. Angela Wolf, our resident sewing super star begins with a kimono style top. Then it’s time for another fashion forward look and a jumpsuit with Joanne Banko. It even has a star design.

1602 Expert Alterations

Be one of a kind when you take your favorite pattern and alter, change or rearrange the pieces for a new look. Kay Whitt is first with a wrap dress – the key to this look is choosing different fabrics for the bodice trim. Then meet Sarah Gunn, known for her tunics and altering the necklines to fit your style. We finish with Angela Wolf and a lace trimmed tank. She will be featuring all different tank alterations from a basic pattern this season.

1603 Appliqué – Stars and More

Appliqué is the star: literally! Emily Thompson has the secret to fashionable kids’ T-shirts with their favorite design.  Then Rebecca Kemp Brent has a tutorial on appliqué using your machine. We finish with embroidered jewelry with Joanne Banko. Create a free standing lace design for instant fashion!

Everyone can be a star with star studded T-shirts in every size shape and color, for kids and adults. First Londa Rolfing creates a truly memorable tee shirt. - favorite people are remembered in the design. Then Emily Thompson returns. Last time she made the shirt and this time she creates custom iron-ons and applies the appliqué.

Get ready for a red carpet evening with luxurious fabrics and special occasion looks. First, Joanne Banko demonstrates tone on tone embroidery and serging for that 40s glamour. Star quality is guaranteed when accessories are in the limelight! Kay Whitt is up first with a circular jewelry pouch. Then meet Joanne Hillestad as she makes a unique tablet cover styled with quilted fabric and coordinating prints. Learn to mix and match prints for maximum impact.

Inspiration for today’s fashion comes from many sources, including the glamour of the silver screen. Angela Wolf starts out with a luxurious chemise top; perfect under a jacket or sweater or glamorous all by itself for evening wear. Then it’s time to bring out your inner princess as Cheryl Sleboda creates crowns - fit for a movie star, your favorite cosplay outfit, or a little girl’s party.

1608 Superstar Tips and Tricks

Take your sewing to superstar level with tips and tricks guaranteed to give a professional look.   Ellen March starts with reader mail and their top tips. Then, meet Mary Roediger from the wool council. Learn all about wool, its properties and qualities and how to use it best in your next project.  We finish another tank top from Angela Wolf. Create a festive one shoulder ruffle for an entirely new look.

One little detail can make your project shine! Embroidery is the featured detail on our beautiful top with Angela Wolf. Next Cheryl Sleboda shares a cosplay accessory. Add a touch of glamour to your home and feel like a star every day. Louis Carney adds glitz to your bedroom with a headboard that’s easily updated or changed any time. Then it’s time for a little custom drapery with Joanne Banko. Tab drapes match many different décor styles including the popular mid-century look with a clean finish.
